Personalized St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirts
March 4, 2007 by tshirtchatGot Backups?
March 4, 2007 by tshirtchatI’ve just been introduced to Mozy.com, an online backup website that allows people to perform offsite backups. It has received great reviews in PC Mag and alike. It is very well priced but most of all it is a must have for any t-shirt designer.
They will give you 2GB of free space, but what you are backing up must be stuff you use for personal use.
So give it a try with your mp3s, videos and what not, full in love with it and then opt for the Pro Account which is for Commerical Use, great for your t-shirt biz.
Use Mozy to backup:
* Your Photoshop files
* Your Illustrator files
* T-shirt Templates
* T-shirt Websites
Take a look yourself and download the free version!
Thanks to my good friend Tony at Astphotos.com for the recommendation!

Taking The T-Shirt World By Storm!
February 28, 2007 by tshirtchatWhat’s it like living in Tornado Alley? I have no idea, I live in England our last big storm was in 1987 – although with global warning I’m sure the next big tornado is around the corner. So, with that in mind I better get myself kitted up, wouldn’t you say? I will prepare to board up the windows, make sure I have my emergency ration kit in check, get that iPod loaded with some podcasts and pack some extremely cool t-shirts.
Tornado Republic is taking the t-shirt world by storm so you better get yourself over there to stock up. I just purchased the above logo tee from their website and love it. They have an amazing 27 colour combinations to choose from at some super prices.
I have a special offer for you as well! If you purchase from Tornado Republic and spend $20 I’ll let you have $5 off ![]()
Just click here, or on the photo of that spiffing t-shirt above, to redeem your coupon!
CafePress Basics – CafePress’ Own Line of T-Shirts
February 26, 2007 by tshirtchatCafePress Basics

Today I received a Ringer Tee from CafePress.com. You’ll noticed the CafePress logo on the label, this is because CafePress are now manufacturing their very own line of clothing.
When I visited San Francisco in October 2006, for CafePress’ annual conference CafePress Connect, they mentioned their very own brand of clothing but I never thought it would hit the shelves this quick.
I have a couple of concerns about this:
1. The CafePress brand is further forced upon the consumer when they purchase a t-shirt from a shop keeper. Many CafePress Shop Keepers establish their own brand like my good friends in the business, Jen Goode of J Goode Designs and Heidi Panelli from Busy Bodies. I would predict that they might not feel too great about this CafePress Basics idea as it will significantly reduce the effectiveness of their branding.
CafePress send our branded boxes, branded packing slips, and mailings to everyone of their customers.
2. What’s CafePress Basics? Who are they? Wouldn’t a customer feel better with their purchase if they had bought a Gildan, a Hanes, or an American Apparel T-Shirt?
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
The T-Shirts all carry a RN number, which is 119933.
| RN Type | RN Number | Legal Name | Company Name |
|---|
RN 119933 CafePress.com, Inc
So, this isn’t just a re badged t-shirt. CafePress have actually gone to the effort of registering themselves with the RN database.
This new Ringer T-Shirt is 100x better than the brand they were sourcing. I had previously purchased a Ringer T-Shirt from them not so long ago and have never worn it, the collar was around 1 inch thick. Now this is just perfect. So that pretty much sums it up, it’s not what’s on the label it’s the t-shirt that counts. If the fit is awful I won’t ever buy that style of t-shirt again – SO CafePress better manufacture the best t-shirts around.
This does mean we will be able to offer more fashionable t-shirts in the future, which will keep us up to date with the trends. CafePress have found it difficult in the past to source these types of t-shirts in the volume they require from a reputable company. If you demand a high volume of stock from a manufacturer you have to be sure the company will be able to meet that demand .
I guess this is now why Maternity T-Shirts are coming to CafePress, because they can make their own in Mexico

VoteForTees in Guardian Newspaper
Today, my website VoteForTees.com has appeared in a UK National Newspaper, the Guardian. The article describes my use of the Print On Demand Service, CafePress.com.
I have been using CafePress since the year 2000 and have grown into a successful shop keeper with my shop, Vote4Tees.
